The ranking is based on reviews from current and former employees about topics like company culture, salary, and work climate on the company’s profile. Sierra Madre GmbH, based in Hagen, seems to have a bit of an edge over some companies when it comes to personnel policies: Both the business and career magazine Focus Business and the employer review platform kununu have recognized the import and distribution company as a “Top Company 2023.” Only about 5% of all employer profiles qualify for this seal.

Sierra Madre GmbH, with nearly 80 employees and one of Germany’s leading importers and distributors of premium spirits, stands out especially when it comes to the “soft factors.” This is reflected in the many positive reviews left by (former) employees on career portals: “Family-oriented company culture,” “Home office, flexible working hours, and competitive salaries in all departments,” “What more could I want?” “Dogs are welcome,” “Potential is recognized and nurtured,” and “You start with 100% trust” are just a few of the comments.
