With the relaunch of Reserva Especial Número 15, Ron Millonario reaffirms its ambition to set new standards in the premium rum segment – not only in terms of taste, but also visually and conceptually.
To mark the 20th anniversary of the bottling of the iconic Reserva Especial Número 15, Ron Millonario unveils a refreshed version of the classic. This new edition of the premium rum blends traditional Peruvian craftsmanship with a modern design approach, continuing the brand’s success story. A revamped brand identity and a sleek bottle design lead the Reserva Especial Número 15 into a new era.
From Peru to the World: The Story of Ron Millonario
Since its founding in the early 2000s, Ron Millonario has established itself as a true ambassador for Peruvian rum. During a journey through South America, Italian spirits expert Fabio Rossi discovered a family-run sugarcane plantation in northern Peru. Rum had been distilled there since the 1930s using a column still imported from Scotland. The Reserva Especial Número 15 marked the beginning of this journey and is still regarded as the heart of the brand.
Modern Design Meets Tradition
The new design of the Reserva Especial Número 15 pays tribute to its Peruvian roots and the artistry of distillation. A premium embossed paper label, inspired by traditional Peruvian weaving, reinforces its cultural connection. A wooden cork stopper with a stylized Inti sun logo completes the traditional presentation. This classic aesthetic is combined with a newly designed bottle featuring clear and elegant contours.
“The relaunch of Reserva Especial Número 15 marks a new chapter for our classic. It fuses Peruvian tradition with contemporary design, creating a product that is both visually striking and rich in flavor. This strengthens Ron Millonario’s role as a key player in the premium rum segment and continues our path of success,” says Christopher Klotz, Head of Marketing at Sierra Madre.
Finely Tuned: A Classic with a Sharpened Profile
The updated design, along with a subtly refined cask selection and blending process, enhances the profile of the product while preserving the original character of Reserva Especial Número 15. On the nose, it reveals a velvety bouquet of raisins, figs, plums, and dates, paired with molasses, chestnut honey, and a gentle touch of bergamot.
On the palate, sweet notes of vanilla, toffee, and candied orange meet honeyed molasses, creamy chocolate, and a fresh, unique nuance. Spicy hints of kola nut, clove, and herbal liqueur round out the experience. The finish is warm and smooth, with a sweet honeyed note that ends in a twist of red chili and aromatic herbs.
