30% less glass than the competition: Brockmans Gin sets new standards for sustainability with the lightest bottle in the premium gin segment.
With a new, more environmentally friendly bottle design, premium gin brand Brockmans shows how modern style and responsible production can go hand in hand. The new Brockmans bottle weighs just 500 grams – a significant reduction of 23% compared to the previous 650 grams. For comparison: bottles from other gin brands weigh on average 42% more. This makes Brockmans the lightest bottle in the premium gin segment and a pioneer in sustainable packaging solutions.
Reduced CO₂ footprint: Lighter bottle made from recycled glass
“With the new bottle, we are strengthening our leadership in the premium gin sector, and we’re not limiting ourselves to the taste of our gin. We are also fulfilling our responsibility towards the environment and taking another significant step in the field of sustainability,” explains Leonie Gendries, Brand Manager for Brockmans Gin at Sierra Madre. In addition to its optimized weight, the bottle is made from 51% recycled glass, and all packaging materials are fully recyclable. Considering the high energy consumption involved in glass production and the associated CO₂ emissions, this represents a substantial reduction in Brockmans’ ecological footprint. The lighter bottle also results in lower emissions during transport.
Sustainable production meets elegant design
In addition to resource-efficient production, the new bottle impresses with a modern and elegant design. Larger and slimmer than its predecessor, it features a textured cap made of lightweight aluminum as well as a new hatching pattern. The sustainable bottle design is being rolled out gradually: since August, Brockmans Intensely Smooth has been available in the new packaging. Brockmans Orange Kiss and Agave Cut will follow in September.
