Phraya Rum is the result of a unique combination of natural resources and traditional Thai craftsmanship. In Thailand, a country rich in native sugarcane, abundant freshwater sources, and an ideal climate for distillation and aging, Phraya is crafted by skilled artisans with deep respect for the national heritage. These experts transform the production process into a true art form, blending delicate Thai craftsmanship into the creation of Phraya.
Our philosophy is inspired by the four elements of nature: Earth, Water, Fire, and Air.
EARTH: The heart of our rum lies in the sugarcane we cultivate in the Thai province of Kanchanaburi, where the soil is known to be rich and fertile.
WATER: Phraya is distilled with natural water from the Ta Chin River.
FIRE: Our handcrafted ex-Bourbon barrels made of American oak are “charred” to awaken the wood, after which the rum matures in the barrel.
AIR: The rum ages in our cellar, benefiting from the natural cooling air of the nearby lagoons along the riverbank.
